15 years young: The ALICE TOF detector in the LHC Run 3 / Strazzi, Sofia (INFN, Bologna ; Bologna U.) /ALICE Collaboration
The ALICE Time Of Flight (TOF) detector consists of 1593 Multigap Resistive Plate Chambers (MRPCs) operating with a mixture of Freon (93%) and SF6 (7%), covering a total active area of about 140 m2 and accounting for more than 150,000 readout channels. During the latest LHC shutdown, the detector underwent a major upgrade of its readout, allowing for continuous data taking and, therefore, fully exploiting the increased luminosity provided by the LHC in Pb–Pb collisions. Studies of F- impurities formation in ALICE MID RPC detectors: A comparison between LHC RUN2 and LHC RUN3 / Verzeroli, Mattia (IP2I, Lyon) ; Arena, Maria Cristina (Pavia U.) ; Ferretti, Alessandro (U. Turin (main) ; INFN, Turin) ; Gagliardi, Martino (U. Turin (main) ; INFN, Turin) ; Guida, Roberto (CERN) ; Mandelli, Beatrice (CERN) ; Quaglia, Luca (INFN, Turin) ; Rigoletti, Gianluca (CERN) ; Terlizzi, Livia (U. Turin (main) ; INFN, Turin)
The ALICE Muon Identifier (MID) system consists of 72 single-gap Resistive Plate Chamber (RPC) detectors, operated with a gas mixture of C2H2F4, iC4H10, and SF6 at a ratio of 89.7%/10%/0.3%, along with 37% of relative humidity. The combined effects of background irradiation and the electric field within the detector’s gas gap, together with the high concentration of fluorinated gases used, result in the production of F− ions and F-based impurities. Searches for the Chiral Magnetic Effect in Xe-Xe and Pb-Pb collisions with ALICE / Danu, Andrea (Bucharest, Inst. Space Science) /ALICE Collaboration
Measurements of charge-dependent three-particle correlations in Pb–Pb and Xe–Xe collisions at sNN = 5.02 TeV and 5.44 TeV, respectively, are presented. For Pb–Pb collisions, the event shape engineering technique has been employed in the analysis. [...]

Probing particle production and transport in small collision systems with ALICE / Tarasovičová, L A (Kosice U.) /ALICE Collaboration
Many recent measurements in small collision systems such as pp and p–Pb collisions show signs of collective behavior of produced particles. The two-particle number and transverse momentum (differential) correlators and charged particle balance function measurements in Pb–Pb collisions provided valuable information about the particle production mechanisms and their time evolution as well as about the transport properties of the created medium, such as the ratio of shear viscosity to entropy density. Two-particle angular correlations of identified particles in pp and p-Pb collisions at LHC energies with ALICE / Ruggiano, Daniela (Warsaw U. of Tech.) /ALICE Collaboration
The two-particle angular correlations in the Δy Δϕ space provide valuable insights into the properties of hadronization mechanisms and quark-gluon plasma properties. The correlation functions are influenced by several physical sources, including mini-jet correlations, Bose-Einstein quantum statistics, resonance decays, conservation of energy and momentum, and other factors [...]

Performance of the ALICE Zero Degree Calorimeters in LHC Run 3 / Zugravel, Stefan Cristi (INFN, Turin ; Turin Polytechnic) /ALICE Collaboration
The Zero Degree Calorimeters (ZDC) of the ALICE experiment at the LHC were designed to characterize the event and monitor the luminosity in heavy-ion collisions. In order to fully exploit the potential offered by the LHC increased luminosity in Run 3, while preserving the time and charge resolution performance, the ZDC readout system was upgraded to allow the acquisition of all collisions in self-triggered mode without dead time. Measuring the system size dependence of the strangeness production with ALICE / Nepeivoda, Roman (Lund U.) /ALICE Collaboration
The system size dependence of strangeness production in highenergy collisions was studied using Run 2 data from the ALICE experiment at the LHC. The analysis examines the ratios of strange hadron yields to pion yields as a function of mid-rapidity charged particle multiplicity ⟨dNch/dη)|η|&0.5, offering insights into the mechanisms driving strangeness enhancement across different collision systems (pp, p–Pb and Pb–Pb). Investigation of early magnetic field and angular momentum in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions via D+ spin alignment with ALICE / Sharma, Himanshu (INFN, Padua) /ALICE Collaboration
Heavy quarks, i.e. charm and beauty, are produced at the initial stages of heavy-ion collisions, on a time scale shorter than the medium formation time, and are sensitive to the initial angular momentum of the system and the magnetic field produced perpendicular to the reaction plane (defined by the impact parameter direction and beam direction) in non-central heavy-ion collisions.
