Two-particle correlations in 13 TeV pp collisions and their sensitivity to jets / hard scatterings
/
Cole, Brian
(Columbia University (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Measurements of two-particle correlations in 𝑝𝑝 collisions show the presence of long-range correlations along Δ𝜂 that are strikingly similar to those seen in heavy-ion collisions. The similarity between the 𝑝𝑝 and heavy-ion measurements raises the possibility that a tiny droplet of the QGP is produced even in 𝑝𝑝 collisions.

Probing the nature of electroweak symmetry breaking with Higgs boson pairs in ATLAS
/
Zhang, Shuzhou
(University of Michigan (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
In the Standard Model, the ground state of the Higgs field is not found at zero but instead corresponds to one of the degenerate solutions minimising the Higgs potential. In turn, this spontaneous electroweak symmetry breaking provides a mechanism for the mass generation of nearly all fundamental particles.

Higgs Boson Searches Beyond the Standard from ATLAS and CMS
/
Sopczak, Andre
(Czech Technical University in Prague (CZ)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The latest results of Higgs boson searches beyond the Standard Model are reviewed from the ATLAS and CMS experiments. This includes searches for additional neutral, charged and double charged Higgs-like bosons, searches for dark matter produced in association with a Higgs boson and sesarches for new physics in Higgs boson pair production processes.

Improving ATLAS hadronic object performance with ML/AI Algorithms
/
Chen, Xiang
(Shanghai Jiao Tong University (CN)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Hadronic object reconstruction is one of the most promising settings for cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms at the LHC. In this contribution, selected highlights of ML/AI applications by ATLAS to particle and boosted-object identification, MET reconstruction and other tasks will be presented..

Highlights on top quark physics with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC
/
Gocke, Benedikt
(Technische Universitaet Dortmund (DE)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The large top quark samples collected with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC have yielded measurements of the production cross section of unprecedented precision and in new kinematic regimes. They have also enabled new measurements of top quark properties that were previously inaccessible, enabled the observation of many rare top quark production processes predicted by the Standard Model and boosted searches for flavour- changing-neutral-current interactions of the top quark, that are heavily suppressed in the SM.

Overview of the ATLAS High-Granularity Timing Detector: project status and result
/
El Ghazali, Yassine
(Ibn-Tofail University Faculty of Sciences (MA)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The increase of the particle flux (pile-up) at the HL-LHC with instantaneous luminosities up to L ≃ 7.5 × 1034 cm−2s−1 will have a severe impact on the ATLAS detector reconstruction and trigger performance. The end-cap and forward region where the liquid Argon calorimeter has coarser granularity and the inner tracker has poorer momentum resolution will be particularly affected.

Searches for leptoquarks with the ATLAS detector
/
Austrup, Volker Andreas
(University of Manchester (GB)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Leptoquarks are hypothetical particles that appear in many theoretical extensions of the Standard Model. They are predicted to mediate interactions between quarks and leptons, bridging the gap between the two fundamental classes of particles.

ATLAS Open Data: developing education and outreach resources from research data
/
Morais Silva Goncalo, Ricardo Jose
(LIP - Laboratorio de Instrumentação e Física Experimental de Partículas (PT)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The ATLAS Open Data project aims to deliver open-access resources for education and outreach in High Energy Physics using real data recorded by the ATLAS detector. The Open Data release so far has resulted in the release of a substantial amount of data from 8 TeV and 13 TeV collisions in an easily-accessible format and supported by dedicated software and documentation to allow its fruitful use by users at a range of experience levels.

Searches for new phenomena with the ATLAS detector
/
Ochoa, Ines
(LIP - Laboratorio de Instrumentação e Física Experimental de Partículas (PT)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Many theories beyond the Standard Model (BSM) have been proposed to address several of the Standard Model shortcomings, such as the origin of dark matter and neutrino masses, the fine-tuning of the Higgs Boson mass, or the observed pattern of masses and mixing angles in the quark and lepton sectors. Many of these BSM extensions predict new particles or interactions directly accessible at the LHC.
