Measurement of the ttbar cross-section and ttbarZ cross-section ratio in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13.6 TeV with the ATLAS and CMS experiments
/ Ranken, Evan Altair (DESY)
/ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
Recent measurements of the inclusive ttbar production cross section, sigma_ttbar, and the ratio of ttbar to Z boson production, R_ttbar/Z, are presented by the CMS and ATLAS collaboration using data collected from proton-proton collisions at the new LHC operating energy of sqrt(s)=13.6 TeV. These are among the first results of the ongoing LHC Run 3 data-taking period, which began in 2022, and provide a first opportunity to measure changes in key physics observables following the increase in energy. Latest VBS and VBF results with the ATLAS and CMS experiments
/ Camaiani, Benedetta (INFN, Florence ; Florence U.)
/ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
Vector Boson Scattering and Fusion processes are crucial to probe the electroweak sector of the Standard Model, as they are sensitive to self-couplings of vector bosons. This review summarizes the latest measurements of production cross sections of vector bosons in association with two jets, performed using data collected by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV during the LHC Run 2 data taking period..

Measurements and EFT fits on detector level
/ Mohrman, Kelci (Florida U.)
/ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
The framework of standard model effective field theory (SMEFT) provides a relatively model-agnostic tool with which to parameterize the off-shell effects of potential heavy new physics. In the top quark sector, the ATLAS and CMS experiments make use of data collected by the CERN LHC to search for these off-shell effects by probing dimension-six SMEFT operators involving top quarks.
