The transverse broadband impedances of major components in the BRing (booster ring) of HIAF (High Intensity Heavy-ion Accelerator Facility) are estimated using the analytical formulas or the wakefield solver in the CST Studio Suite. At low frequency, the transverse broadband impedance model of BRing is Z1H(ω)=-417.14i  kΩ/m(horizontal) and Z1V(ω)=-530.19i kΩ/m(vertical), which are larger than the threshold impedance for the transverse mode-coupling instability. The 100 km FCC-ee e⁺/e⁻ circular collider requires luminosities in the order of 10³⁵ cm⁻² s⁻¹ and very low emittances of 0.27 nm·prad for the horizontal plane and 1 pm·prad in the vertical. In order to reach these requirements, extreme focusing of the beam is needed in the interaction regions, leading to a vertical beta function of 0.8 mm at the IP. [...]

The high luminosity electron-positron collider FCC-ee is part of the Future Circular Collider (FCC) study at CERN and it has been designed to cover the beam energy range from 45.6 GeV to 182.5 GeV to study the properties of the Higgs boson and other particles. Electron cloud build up simulations on the Z resonance revealed the necessity of minimising the Secondary Electron Yield (SEY) of the pipe walls by applying a Ti-Zr-V Non-Evaporable Getter (NEG) coating in the entire ring.
