In this paper we describe the main characteristics and experimental results, recorded in more than four years of data acquisition, of a temperature and strain monitoring system, called i-pipe, based on Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors arrays applied for the first time to a sector of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN): the central beam pipe (BP) of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS). The monitoring system, consisting of four arrays of 16 FBG sensors each, as better described in the text, is placed on four directives of the LHC section that passes inside the CMS experiment, namely the CMS central BP. ScienceBox Converging to Kubernetes containers in production for on-premise and hybrid clouds for CERNBox, SWAN, and EOS

Docker containers are the de-facto standard to package, distribute, and run applications on cloud-based infrastructures. Commercial providers and private clouds expand their offer with container orchestration engines, making the management of resources and containerized applications tightly integrated. [...]

Hadronic light-by-light contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment from lattice QCD
/ Blum, Thomas (Connecticut U. ; RIKEN BNL) ; Jin, Luchang (Connecticut U. ; RIKEN BNL) ; Christ, Norman (Columbia U.) ; Hayakawa, Masashi (Nagoya U. ; Nishina Ctr., RIKEN) ; Izubuchi, Taku (Brookhaven ; RIKEN BNL) ; Jin, Luchang (Connecticut U. ; RIKEN BNL) ; Jung, Chulwoo (Brookhaven) ; Lehner, Christoph (Brookhaven ; Regensburg U.)
We report preliminary results for the hadronic light-by-light scattering contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. Several ensembles using 2+1 flavors of M\"obius domain-wall fermions, generated by the RBC/UKQCD collaborations, are employed to take the continuum and infinite volume limits of finite volume lattice QED+QCD [...]

Testability of leptogenesis with three RH-neutrinos below the electroweak scale
/ Lucente, Michele (Louvain U., CP3)
The Standard Model extended with right-handed neutrinos whose masses are below the electroweak scale provides a simultaneous solution for the origin of neutrino masses and of the baryon asymmetry of the Universe, that can be tested in current experiments. If three right-handed neutrinos participate to the processes, their parameter space of solutions extends to very large mixing angles, saturating the current experimental constraints. [...]

Study of Lepton Universality at Belle
/ Prim, Markus Tobias (KIT, Karlsruhe, ETP)
/Belle Collaboration
The Belle Collaboration presented three recent Belle analyses: The search for $B\rightarrow l\nu\gamma$ ($l = e, \mu$) with improved hadronic tagging, the search for $B\rightarrow \mu \nu_\mu$ with inclusive tagging and the test of lepton universality in $B\rightarrow K^*ll$ ($l = e, \mu$) decays..
