[YSF] Search for extra Higgs bosons through same-sign top-quark production in association with an extra jet / HSU, Ting-hsiang (Taiwan, Natl. Taiwan U.) /CMS Collaboration
A search is presented for new Higgs bosons, targeting proton-proton (pp) collision events with a same-sign top quark pair associated with an extra jet via the processes pp$\rightarrow$tH/A$\rightarrow$tt$\bar{\text{c}}$ and pp$\rightarrow$tH/A$\rightarrow$tt$\bar{\text{u}}$, where H and A represent exotic scalar and pseudoscalar bosons, respectively. The study is based on data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the CMS detector at LHC Run 2, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 $\text{fb}^{-1}$. [...]

Test and performance of the CMS ECAL barrel data conversion and digital processing ASIC for HL-LHC / Borca, Cecilia (INFN, Turin ; Turin U.) /CMS Collaboration
In preparation for the high luminosity upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider, a new data conversion and digital processing ASIC, called LiTE-DTU, was designed. Implemented in a 65 nm CMOS technology, the LiTE-DTU features two 12-bit 160 MS s$^{-1}$ successive approximation register time-interleaved ADCs, a data processing unit and enables efficient data transmission at 1.28 Gbps. The LiTE-DTU has undergone extensive testing in both laboratory and beam tests, demonstrating excellent performance in the pre-production version, showing the production readiness of the design. Improving tracking algorithms with machine learning a case for line-segment tracking at the High Luminosity LHC / Guiang, Jonathan (UC, San Diego) /CMS Collaboration
In this work, we present a study on ways that tracking algorithms can be improved with machine learning (ML). We base this study on a line-segment-based tracking (LST) algorithm that we have designed to be naturally parallelized and vectorized in order to efficiently run on modern processors. [...]

Measurement of the ttbar cross-section and ttbarZ cross-section ratio in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13.6 TeV with the ATLAS and CMS experiments / Ranken, Evan Altair (DESY) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
Recent measurements of the inclusive ttbar production cross section, sigma_ttbar, and the ratio of ttbar to Z boson production, R_ttbar/Z, are presented by the CMS and ATLAS collaboration using data collected from proton-proton collisions at the new LHC operating energy of sqrt(s)=13.6 TeV. These are among the first results of the ongoing LHC Run 3 data-taking period, which began in 2022, and provide a first opportunity to measure changes in key physics observables following the increase in energy. Phase-II Upgrade of the CMS Electromagnetic Calorimeter Detector Control and Safety Systems for the High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider / Jimenez Estupinan, Raul (Zurich, ETH) /CMS Collaboration
The Electromagnetic Calorimeter (ECAL) is a subdetector of the CMS experiment. Composed of a barrel and two endcaps, ECAL uses lead tungstate scintillating crystals to measure the energy of electrons and photons produced in high-energy collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). [...]

Performance of track reconstruction at the CMS high-level trigger in 2022 data / Pena Rodriguez, Karla Josefina (Hamburg U.) /CMS Collaboration
The CMS detector has undergone extensive improvements in preparation for Run 3 of the LHC to operate efficiently at the increased luminosity and pileup. This includes the installation of a refurbished innermost pixel detector layer, as well as the development of HLT software to make use of heterogeneous computing architectures. [...]

Searches for compressed supersymmetry scenarios with the CMS experiment / Kadlecsik, Armin (Eotvos U.) /CMS Collaboration
Results from the CMS experiment are presented on searches for supersymmetric particles targeting models with compressed spectra with small mass splitting between the accessible supersymmetric partners of Standard Model particles. Such a spectrum presents unique experimental challenges, thus new techniques are utilized to address these difficult scenarios. [...]

Latest VBS and VBF results with the ATLAS and CMS experiments / Camaiani, Benedetta (INFN, Florence ; Florence U.) /ATLAS and CMS Collaborations
Vector Boson Scattering and Fusion processes are crucial to probe the electroweak sector of the Standard Model, as they are sensitive to self-couplings of vector bosons. This review summarizes the latest measurements of production cross sections of vector bosons in association with two jets, performed using data collected by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV during the LHC Run 2 data taking period..
