The results are based on data collected by the CMS experiment in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$ during the 2016, 2017, and 2018 LHC running periods, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $138~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. Energy scaling behavior of intrinsic transverse momentum in Drell-Yan events /CMS Collaboration
We present an analysis of intrinsic transverse momentum by studying the dilepton transverse momentum in Drell-Yan events. Utilizing widely adopted event generators and data from fixed-target experiments, the Tevatron, and the LHC, our investigation spans three orders of magnitude in center-of-mass energy and two orders of magnitude in dilepton invariant mass. Measurements of the light-by-light scattering and the Breit--Wheeler processes, and searches for axion-like particles in ultraperipheral PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} = 5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration
Measurements of the light-by-light scattering (LbL, $\gamma\gamma\to\gamma\gamma$) and the Breit--Wheeler (B--W, $\gamma\gamma\to\mathrm{e}^+\mathrm{e}^-$) processes are reported in ultraperipheral PbPb collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair of 5.02 TeV using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $1.65~\mathrm{nb}^{-1}$. Events with a pair of exclusively produced photons or $\mathrm{e}^+\mathrm{e}^-$ are selected, each with transverse energy $E_\mathrm{T}^{\gamma,\mathrm{e}}>2~\mathrm{GeV}$, pseudorapidity $|\eta^{\gamma,\mathrm{e}}|<2.2$, pair invariant mass $m^{\gamma\gamma,\mathrm{ee}}> 5~\mathrm{GeV}$, pair transverse momentum $p_\mathrm{T}^{\gamma\gamma,\mathrm{ee}}<1~\mathrm{GeV}$, and pair azimuthal acoplanarity $A_\phi<0.01$. A study of $CP$ violation in $B_s^0 \to J/\psi\, \phi(1020)$ decays is presented, based on the data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC. The measurement is based on a data sample of roughly $491\,000$ reconstructed signal events corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $96.5\ \text{fb}^{-1}$, collected in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV in 2017-2018 [...]

Higgs boson decays into a photon and a $\rho^0$(770), $\phi$, or $\mathrm{K}^{*0}$(892) meson are searched for using proton-proton collision data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$. Search for hadronic R-parity violating decays of electroweak superpartners using jet scaling patterns in multilepton events at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration
The first search for pair production of electroweak chargino-neutralino superpartners with cascade decay emission of leptonically decaying $\mathrm{W}$ and $\mathrm{Z}$ bosons, along with prompt decay of the lightest neutralino superpartner to three strongly interacting particles through hadronic R-parity violating interactions is presented. The search employs a comparison of jet multiplicity distributions in one, two, and four lepton events to calibrate and probe for supersymmetric production of events with three leptons in association with multiple jets in a data sample of 138$~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of 13$~\mathrm{TeV}$ proton-proton collisions recorded by the CMS detector at the LHC. The effective lifetime of the $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}$ meson in the decay $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi \, \mathrm{K}^0_\mathrm{S}$ is measured using data collected during 2016--2018 with the CMS detector in $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$ proton-proton collisions at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $140~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The effective lifetime is determined by performing a two-dimensional unbinned maximum likelihood fit to the $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi\, \mathrm{K}^0_\mathrm{S}$ meson invariant mass and proper decay time distributions.
