Measurement of the Higgs boson mass and width using the four leptons final state
/CMS Collaboration
A measurement of the Higgs boson mass and width using the decays to two Z bosons is presented, using the proton-proton data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $138~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ at a center-of-mass energy of $13~\mathrm{TeV}$. The on-shell production of the Higgs boson with the decay $\mathrm{H} \to \mathrm{Z} \mathrm{Z}^* \to 4\ell$ is used to constrain its mass and width, which yields to the most precise single measurement of the mass to date $\mathrm{m}_\mathrm{H} = 125.08 \pm 0.12~\mathrm{GeV}$ and an upper limit on the width $\Gamma_\mathrm{H} < 60~\mathrm{MeV}$ at $68\%$ confidence level.

Pseudorapidity distributions of charged hadrons in PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}} = 5.36$ TeV
/CMS Collaboration
The pseudorapidity ($\eta$) distributions of charged hadrons are measured using data collected at a record nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}}=5.36~\mathrm{TeV}$ for collisions of lead-lead (PbPb) ions. The data were recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2022 and correspond to an integrated luminosity of $0.3\pm0.03~\mu\mathrm{b}^{-1}$.

Constraining beauty quark energy loss and hadronization with $\text{B}^{+}$ and $\text{B}^{0}_{\text{s}}$ nuclear modification factors in PbPb collisions at $5.02\,\text{TeV}$ with CMS
/CMS Collaboration
The CMS Collaboration reports on the production yields of $\text{B}^{0}_{\text{s}}$ and $\text{B}^{+}$ mesons in proton-proton (pp) collisions recorded in 2017 at the CERN LHC with a center-of-mass energy of $5.02\,\text{TeV}$. Utilizing an integrated luminosity of 302.3$\,\text{pb}^{-1}$, the analysis focuses on the exclusive decay channels $\text{B}^{0}_{\text{s}} \to \text{J/}\psi (\mu^{+}\mu^{-})\,\phi (\text{K}^{+} \text{K}^{-})$ and $\text{B}^{+} \to \text{J/}\psi (\mu^{+}\mu^{-})\, \text{K}^{+}$ in a transverse momentum $(p_{\mathrm{T}})$ range of 7-50 $\text{GeV/c}$ and a rapidity interval $|y| < 2.4$.

Measurement of the $\mathrm{B}^+$ differential cross section as a function of transverse momentum and multiplicity in pPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}}=$ 8.16 TeV
/CMS Collaboration
We present the measurement of the $\mathrm{B}^+$ meson production cross section with respect to the transverse momentum inclusively and, for the first time, in different charged particle multiplicities, in proton-lead collisions at a per nucleon center-of-mass energy of $8.16~\mathrm{TeV}$. The data were collected by the CMS detector during 2016 and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 175 nb$^{-1}$.

Extracting the speed of sound in the strongly interacting matter created in relativistic nuclear collisions
/CMS Collaboration
Ultrarelativistic nuclear collisions yield a strongly interacting state of hot and dense quark-gluon matter that exhibits a remarkable collective flow behavior with minimal viscous dissipation. To gain deeper insights into its intrinsic nature, we extracted the speed of sound in this medium utilizing data from $0.607~\mathrm{nb}^{-1}$ of lead-lead collisions at $\sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}}=5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$, recorded by the CMS experiment in 2018 at the CERN-LHC.

Elliptic anisotropy measurement of the $\rm{f}_0(980)$ hadron in proton-lead collisions and evidence of its quark-antiquark composition by CMS
/CMS Collaboration
Despite its discovery half a century ago, the question about the quark content of the $\rm{f}_0(980)$ hadron has not been settled, whether its being an ordinary quark-antiquark meson, a tetraquark exotic state, a kaon-antikaon molecule, or a quark-antiquark-gluon hybrid. In this note, evidence that the $\rm{f}_0(980)$ hadron is an ordinary quark-antiquark meson is reported, by employing the number-of-constituent-quark (NCQ) scaling of elliptic flow anisotropies ($v_2$), empirically established by conventional hadrons up to transverse momentum ($p_{\rm {T}}$) of about 10~GeV/$c$ in relativistic heavy ion collisions.

Search for production of single vector-like quarks decaying to tH or tZ in the all-hadronic final state in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 13 TeV
/CMS Collaboration
A search for electroweak production of a single vector-like quark $\mathrm{T}$ in association with a bottom quark ($\mathrm{b}$) and decaying fully hadronically is presented. This search uses proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s} = 13~\mathrm{TeV}$ collected by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC during 2016--2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $138~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$.

Test of lepton flavor universality violation in semileptonic $B_c^+$ meson decays at CMS
/CMS Collaboration
A measurement of the ratio of branching fractions $\mathrm{R}(\mathrm{J}/\psi) = \mathcal{B}(\mathrm{B}_{\mathrm{c}}^+\rightarrow\mathrm{J}/\psi\tau^+\nu_{\tau}) /$ $ \mathcal{B}(\mathrm{B}_{\mathrm{c}}^+\rightarrow\mathrm{J}/\psi\mu^+\nu_{\mu})$ in the $\mathrm{J}/\psi\rightarrow\mu^+\mu^-$, $\tau^+\rightarrow\mu^+\nu_{\mu}\nu_{\bar{\tau}}$ decay channel is presented. This measurement uses a sample of proton-proton collision data at a center of mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the CMS experiment in 2018 and corresponding to $59.7~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity.

Test of lepton flavor universality in $\mathrm{B}^{\pm}\rightarrow \mathrm{K}^\pm \ell^+ \ell^-$ decays
/CMS Collaboration
A test of lepton flavor universality in $\mathrm{B}^\pm \to \mathrm{K}^\pm\ell^+\ell^-$ decays, where $\ell$ is a muon or electron, as well as a measurement of differential and inclusive branching fractions of a nonresonant $\mathrm{B}^\pm \to\mathrm{K}^\pm\mu^+\mu^-$ decay with the CMS experiment at the LHC are presented. The analysis is made possible by a dedicated data set of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV recorded in 2018, using a special high-rate data stream designed for collecting about 10 billion unbiased b hadron decays.
