 An Open Modelling Approach for Availability and Reliability of Systems / Penttinen, Jussi-Pekka ; Niemi, Arto (CERN) ; Gutleber, Johannes (CERN) ; 'Koskinen, Kari (Tampere University of Technology') ; 'Coatanea, Eric (Tampere University of Technology') ; 'Laitinen, Jouko (Tampere University of Technology') This paper introduces an Open Modelling approach for Availability and Reliability of Systems (OpenMARS), which is developed for risk and performance assessment of large and complex systems with dynamic behaviours. The approach allows for combining the most common risk assessment and operation modelling techniques.  Cultural Effects at CERN / Del Rosario Crespo Garrido, Irene (CERN) ; Catalano, Gelsomina (Università degli Studi di Milano and CSIL) This report summarises the results of the impacts of cultural and outreach activities carried out at CERN. This report demonstrates the robustness of findings of previous studies by validating them using additional information and most recently updated data.  A self-seeded track trigger for the FCC-hh / Fawcett, William James (University of Cambridge (GB)) ; Sfyrla, Anna (Universite de Geneve (CH)) ; Iacobucci, Giuseppe (Universite de Geneve (CH)) The feasibility of using a triplet of tracking layers in the barrel of the FCC-hh detector as a self-seeded track trigger is investigated. We find that a triplet of tracking layers is sufficient to reconstruct tracks with close to 100% efficiency, while giving a relatively low average fake rate of 0.5% for tracks with $p_{\mathrm{T}} > 2$ GeV, despite the intense pileup conditions expected at the FCC with an average of 1000 vertices per bunch crossing.  Length optimization of the detector region dipoles in LHeC and FCC-eh / Martin, Roman (CERN) ; Tomas Garcia, Rogelio (CERN) In the LHeC and FCC-eh interaction region designs strong quadrupole septa are used to focus the colliding proton beam at the interaction point. Since the electron beam has a significantly lower beam rigidity it must pass through these magnets’ field free region. [...] CERN-ACC-2018-0042.- Geneva : CERN, 2018 Fulltext: PDF;

 Initial Study of the Reconstruction of Boosted B-hadrons and $\tau$-leptons at FCC-hh / Perez Codina, Estel ; Roloff, Philipp Gerhard (CERN) The FCC-hh project aims at studying proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=100$ TeV. In beyond the Standard Model scenarios, such high collision energy can produce unprecedented high-energy objects in the multi-TeV range.  Prospects for the Search of gluon mediated flavour changing neutral currents at FCC / Dudko, Lev (M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (RU)) ; Boos, Eduard (M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (RU)) ; Chernoded, Andrei (M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (RU)) ; Perfilov, Maksim (M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (RU)) ; Vorotnikov, Georgii (M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (RU)) ; Volkov, Petr (M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (RU)) The Note presents the prospects for the search of the possible gluon mediated flavor changing neutral currents (FCNC) in top quark production. The possible presence of tgu and tgc FCNC vertices is investigated in the framework of the future 100 TeV proton-proton collider (FCC-hh). [...] CERN-ACC-2018-0043.- Geneva : CERN, 2018 Fulltext: PDF;
