More and more people tend to work using different devices, sometimes remotely and/or under different operating systems. Also, everyday collaboration is becoming more and more needed across colleagues.
CERNBox, the CERN’s cloud storage system can offer an easy and secure way to share files with colleagues, collaborate and backup your data in the (CERN) cloud while synchronizing your profile across all your devices.
As the selected alternative for Microsoft DFS, CERNBox will host users’ personal profile providing them with more quota and making available to them the CERN cloud ecosystem.

Imagine wanting to fly an airplane, but finding current-gen VR lacking in control.
Imagine holding a pen, but just not being skilled enough to draw the fine picture in your mind.
This is a project about materializing your imagination.
Brain-computer interfaces are gradually bridging the gap between human and computer, but to do so they need to understand brain signals.
In this hackathon, we explored the reconstruction of what a person sees through DNN techniques, with EEG signals as input, working on state-of-the-art research. Come to hear what we tried!

PASSION EXTREME LIGHT

Extreme-light laser is a universal source providing a vast range of high energy radiations and particles along with the highest field, highest pressure, temperature and acceleration. It offers the possibility to shed light on some of the remaining unanswered questions in fundamental physics like the genesis of cosmic rays with energies in excess of 1020 eV or the loss of information in black-holes. Using wake-field acceleration some of these fundamental questions could be studied in the laboratory. In addition extreme-light makes possible the study of the structure of vacuum and particle production in "empty" space which is one of the field’s ultimate goal, reaching into the fundamental QED and possibly QCD regimes.
