LHCb measurements on CPV in $B$ decays ($B\to3h$, $\phi_s$, charmless $B$ decays) / Govorkova, Katya (Nikhef National institute for subatomic physics (NL)) The latest results on the $CP$ violation measurements in $B$ decays are reported. The measurement of the weak phase $\phi_s^ {s \overline s}$ using the $B^0_s \to \phi \phi$ decay mode is performed on a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5 $fb^{-1}$ collected in proton-proton collisions by the LHCb experiment. CKM angle $\gamma$ measurement at LHCb / Haines, Susan Carol (University of Cambridge (GB)) Data collected at the LHCb experiment have been used to determine the CKM angle $\gamma$ with $B^{-} \rightarrow D K^{-}$, $D \rightarrow K_S^0 \pi^+ \pi^-$, $K_S^0 K^+ K^-$ decays, leading to the most precise measurement of $\gamma$ from a single analysis. Decay-time-dependent $CP$ asymmetries in $B^0 \rightarrow D^{\mp} \pi^{\pm}$ decays have been measured for the first time at a hadron collider and used to place constraints on $| \sin{(2\beta + \gamma)} |$ and $\gamma$ that are consistent with world average values. Tracking, Vertexing and data handling strategy for the LHCb upgrade / Seyfert, Paul (CERN) For Run III (2021 onwards) of the LHC, LHCb will take data at an instantaneous luminosity of $2 \times 10^{33} \mathrm{cm}^{-2} \mathrm{s}^{-1}$, five times higher than in Run II (2015-2018). To cope with the harsher data taking conditions, the LHCb collaboration will upgrade the DAQ system and install a purely software based trigger, in addition to various detector upgrades. Particle-identification techniques and performance at LHCb in Run 2 / Mikhail, Hushchyn (Yandex School of Data Analysis (RU)) ; Chekalina, Viktoriia (Yandex School of Data Analysis (RU)) One of the most challenging data analysis tasks of modern High Energy Physics experiments is the identification of particles. In this proceedings we review the new approaches used for particle identification at the LHCb experiment. [...] LHCb-PROC-2018-016; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2018-016.- Geneva : CERN, 2018 - 2. Rare $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^−$ analyses with electrons / Puig Navarro, Albert (Universitaet Zuerich (CH)) Rare $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^−$ decays are flavour-changing neutral-current processes that are forbidden at the lowest perturbative order in the Standard Model (SM). As a consequence, new particles in SM extensions can significantly affect the branching fractions of these decays and their angular distributions, as well as affect the coupling of the electroweak gauge bosons of the SM to leptons in a non-universal way. Electroweak scale physics & exotic searches at LHCb / Lupton, Olli (CERN) The LHCb detector is a single-arm forward spectrometer covering the pseudorapidity range 2–5 that is principally designed for the study of b- and c-hadrons, but which is well-suited to a wide variety of electroweak scale measurements and exotic searches that are highly complementary to other experiments at the LHC and elsewhere. Several features of the detector that are crucial for the core flavour physics programme, such as excellent vertex and momentum resolution, and a powerful trigger system, contribute to excellent jet tagging performance and sensitivity to low mass exotic states. Tests of lepton flavour universality at LHCb / Lupato, Anna (Universita e INFN, Padova (IT)) In the Standard Model the electroweak coupling of the gauge bosons to leptons is independent of the lepton flavour. Semileptonic and rare decays of b quarks provide an ideal laboratory to test this property. [...] LHCb-PROC-2018-012; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2018-012.- Geneva : CERN, 2018 - 6. Hadron spectroscopy in LHCb / Palano, Antimo (Universita e INFN, Bari (IT)) The LHCb experiment is designed to study the properties and decays of heavy flavored hadrons produced in pp collisions at the LHC. The data collected in the LHC Run I enables precision spectroscopy studies of beauty and charm hadrons. [...] LHCb-PROC-2018-011; CERN-LHCb-PROC-2018-011.- Geneva : CERN, 2018 - 9. W, Z and top production measurements at LHCb / Kucharczyk, Marcin (Cracow, INP) /LHCb Due to its unique pseudorapidity coverage between 2 and 5 and excellent performance, the LHCb detector allows for complementary probe of electroweak and QCD processes to those at ATLAS and CMS experiments. Studies of electroweak boson and top production provide important probes of the Standard Model at LHC energies and constrain parton distribution functions.
