New software technologies in the LHCb Simulation
/ Mazurek, Michal (National Centre for Nuclear Research (PL)) ; Corti, Gloria (CERN) ; Kreps, Michal (University of Warwick (GB)) ; Davis, Adam (University of Manchester (GB)) ; Popov, Dmitry (University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CN)) ; Siddi, Benedetto Gianluca (Universita e INFN, Ferrara (IT))
Monte Carlo simulations are key to the design and commissioning of new detectors as well as the interpretation of physics measurements. The amount of simulated samples required for the Run 3 physics program of the LHCb experiment will increase significantly from 2022 onward to match the increase in the amount of data collected with respect to Run 1 and 2 operation. Charm baryons at LHCb
/ Seman Bobulska, Dana (University of Glasgow (GB))
The LHCb experiment collected the world's largest sample of charmed hadrons during LHC Run 1 and Run 2. With this data set, LHCb is currently providing the world's most precise measurements of properties and production of known charmed baryons, as well as searching for many previously unobserved states. [...]

Charmonia photo-production in ultra-peripheral and peripheral PbPb collisions with LHCb.
/ Duan, Weisong (South China Normal University (CN))
The LHCb recorded $\sim$ 210 $\mu b^{-1}$ integrated luminosity of PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV in 2018. With an increase of the luminosity by a factor of 20 compared to the previous 2015 PbPb dataset, precise measurements on photo-produced charmonia in ultra-peripheral collisions are now possible. [...]

Precision QCD measurements from LHCb
/ Kucharczyk, Marcin (The Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics (IFJ) • Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN))
/LHCb Collaboration
The LHCb detector, thanks to its unique coverage of the forward region of pseudorapidity from 2 to 5, together with high-precision tracking and excellent particle identification, is a universal tool allowing to study a wide spectrum of QCD processes. The present document focuses on the recent results on the production of charged hadrons within jets recoiling against a Z boson at $\sqrt{_s}$ = 8 TeV as well as the Bose-Einstein correlations of same-sign pions at $\sqrt{_s}$= 7 TeV, both performed using large samples of proton-proton collision data accumulated with the LHCb detector. [...]

Heavy-ion physics and strong interactions at LHCb
/ Dembinski, Hans Peter (Technische Universitaet Dortmund (DE))
The LHCb experiment is a single-arm spectrometer designed for the study of heavy flavour physics at the LHC, but also an excellent general purpose experiment for the study of quantum chromodynamics in the forward region. The forward acceptance make the LHCb data particular interesting for many applications in astroparticle physics, which are dominated by forward hadron production. [...]
