Systematic Errors of a ”frozen Spin” EDM measurement with electric and magnetic Fields due to imperfect Alignment of Fields / Cilento, Vera (CERN) ; Carli, Christian (CERN) ; Haj Tahar, Malek (CERN)
Many of the rings proposed to measure the Electric Dipole Moment (EDM) of charged particles rely on a combination of magnetic and electric fields bending the beam to fulfil the ”frozen spin” condition. Imperfect alignment of the two fields bending the beam is known to rotate the spin from the longitudinal into the vertical direction. [...]

Possible operational scenarios for a quasi-simultaneous operation of proton and ion beams in the North Area Experimental Areas / Charitonidis, Nikolaos (CERN) ; Banerjee, Dipanwita (CERN) ; Bernhard, Johannes (CERN) ; Van Dijk, Maarten (CERN) ; Nevay, Laurence James (CERN) ; Gatignon, Lau (Lancaster University (GB))
The implications of the experimental proposals for ion operation in the North Area post-LS3 are being studied within the framework of the Physics Beyond Colliders framework in collaboration with an ATS Future Ions Working Group established with the mandate to study possibilities and limitations of the CERN injector complex for delivering ions to the SPS experimental areas and the LHC post-LS3. This document describes three conceptual scenarios for "quasi-simultaneous" operation of protons and ions slowly extracted towards the North Area beam lines as a possible mean to optimize the overall beam delivery to the NA experiments. Laser beam transport and stabilization considerations for the Gamma Factory proof-of-principle experiment / Granados, Eduardo (CERN) ; Dutheil, Yann (CERN) ; Marsh, Bruce (CERN) ; Arduini, Gianluigi (CERN)
The Gamma Factory proof-of-principle (GF PoP) experiment consists in colliding high intensity ultrafast laser pulses with ultra-relativistic partially stripped ion beams at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS). The experiment represents the first demonstration of fast cooling of ultra- relativistic ion beams and high flux gamma ray production [...]

TT20 unsplit beam optics for dedicated ECN3 operation / Ramjiawan, Rebecca Louise (CERN) ; Velotti, Francesco Maria (CERN) ; Fraser, Matthew Alexander (CERN)
The Transfer Tunnel 20 (TT20) in the CERN North Area (NA) contains transfer lines TT21-25 to transport beam extracted from the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS). The beam is shared between three primary production targets simultaneously using two sets of Lamberston septa magnets [...]

P42 T4/XTAX transmission efficiency - FLUKA / Mazzola, Giuseppe (CERN) ; Esposito, Luigi Salvatore (CERN)
The studies reported here are part of the ECN3 Beam Delivery Task Force’s mandate. Designated by the PBC Study Group, the primary objective of the Task Force is to assess the technical feasibility of increasing the proton beam intensity transported along the P42 line to the ECN3 cavern of the North Area in order to satisfy the demands of a set of PBC experimental physics proposals. The Forward Physics Facility (FPF) is a proposed new facility to house several new experiments at the CERN High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). The FPF is located such that the experiments can be aligned with the collision axis line of sight (LOS), a location which allows many interesting physics measurements and searches for new physics to be carried out. SPS Operation and Future Proton Sharing Scenarios for the ECN3 facility / Prebibaj, Tirsi (Goethe University Frankfurt (DE)) ; Arduini, Gianluigi (CERN) ; Bartosik, Hannes (CERN) ; Fraser, Matthew Alexander (CERN)
In the framework of the Physics Beyond Colliders (PBC) study, a future high intensity facility at the existing ECN3 experimental hall of the North Area (NA) complex is under study. A task force is investigating ECN3 intensity upgrade scenarios concerning beam delivery and related infrastructure, considering solutions compatible with consolidation plans and post-LS3 experimental scenarios. High Intensity Studies in the CERN Proton Synchrotron Booster / Asvesta, Foteini (CERN) ; Albright, Simon (CERN) ; Antoniou, Fanouria (CERN) ; Bartosik, Hannes (CERN) ; Bracco, Chiara (CERN) ; Di Giovanni, Gian Piero (CERN) ; Rumolo, Giovanni (CERN) ; Skowronski, Piotr Krzysztof (CERN) ; Zannini, Carlo (CERN) ; Renner, Elisabeth (Vienna University of Technology (AT))
After the successful implementation of the LHC Injectors Upgrade (LIU) project, studies were conducted in the CERN Proton Synchrotron Booster (PSB) in order to assess the intensity reach with the increased beam brightness. The studies focused on the high intensity beams delivered to the PSB users, both at 1.4 and 2 GeV. [...]
