How to make your photography skills to serve community / A journey through the world of NGOs taking care of discriminated. During the conference the photographers will share their investment to help non-profit Organisations in several countries, such as Nepal, Uganda, Rwanda, Mongolia, Guatemala…  You will see photos taken during different mission and hear the story which is behind each of them. Presentation by Andrea Musso - With the participation of Anna Chrul   Comment mettre vos compétences en photographie au service de la communauté / Un voyage dans le monde des ONG qui s'occupent des personnes discriminées. Pendant la conférence, les photographes feront part de leur investissement pour aider des organisations à but non lucratif dans plusieurs pays, comme le Népal, l'Ouganda, le Rwanda, la Mongolie, le Guatemala... Since the discovery of the Higgs boson by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations in 2012, a major focus in particle physics has been understanding its interactions.  Tremendous progress has been made in determining the strength of the Higgs bosons couplings to fermions and vector bosons, but its self‐interaction has yet to be established.  Understanding the Higgs self‐coupling and the form of the potential function of the Higgs field will allow us to explore why the Higgs boson acquires a vacuum expectation value, and, critically, whether we live in a stable universe.  The most natural way to probe the Higgs self‐interaction is via searches for Higgs boson pair‐production, HH.     The latest ATLAS HH searches reported in this seminar bring substantial improvements over previous results.  In the case of non-resonant HH searches, results are interpreted both in terms of sensitivity to the Standard Model and as limits on the Higgs boson self-coupling.  Search results on new resonances decaying into pairs of Higgs bosons are also reported. The seminar will take place in "hybrid format" with the speaker present in-person in the Filtration Plant (222/R-001). Note that the occupancy is currently limited to 40 people due to hygiene rules.  If you want to attend in person you must register. VERA Ce que nous ne voyons pas Une création entre arts et sciences, entre danse, théâtre et cosmologie présentée par Charlotte Philippe, Margot Bain et le comédien Gabriel Perez, imaginée avec la complicité scientifique de Sandrine Schlögel (Cosmologiste, membre de l’association PhiloCité) Le spectacle « Vera, ce que nous ne voyons pas » est né du souhait de la Compagnie Hallet Eghayan de mettre en place une ligne artistique autour de la thématique « Les femmes de science ». Cette forme hybride - danse et théâtre - s'est construite autour de la vie et l'oeuvre de la cosmologiste Vera C. Rubin. Comment une femme, dans un monde dominé par les hommes, réussit à pénétrer dans l'institution de manière officielle mais aussi à révéler l'hypothèse de la matière noire ? Imaginer, faire voir par les mots et les corps, divaguer dans les confins des galaxies à la lumière des enjeux contemporains pour l’art, pour la science et pour la société ; telle est la quête à laquelle ont voulu s’atteler les artistes pour ce spectacle.
