Commissioning of the LHC Injectors Upgrade fast wire scanners and first experimental results
/ Di Carlo, S (CERN) ; Emery, J (CERN) ; Andreazza, W (CERN) ; Belohrad, D (CERN) ; Esteban Felipe, J C (CERN) ; Goldblatt, A (CERN) ; Gudkov, D (CERN) ; Guerrero, A (CERN) ; Jackson, S (CERN) ; Lacarrere, G O (CERN) et al.
The LHC Injectors Upgrade (LIU) program included new fast beam wire scanners (BWS) to meet the requirements of the higher brightness and intensity High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) beams. Seventeen LIU BWS have been installed during the LHC second long shutdown (LS2) and they are currently used in the daily operations of the LHC injectors. [...]

Superconducting Curved Canted–Cosine–Theta (CCT) for the HIE-ISOLDE Recoil Separator Ring at CERN
/ Kirby, G (CERN) ; Rodin, V (Liverpool U.) ; Kirby, O (Exeter U.) ; Foussat, A (CERN) ; Resta-Lopez, J (Valencia U.) ; Martel, I (Huelva U.) ; Welsch, C (Liverpool U.)
The ISOLDE facility at CERN delivers the largest range of low-energy radioactive beams, exploited by several detector systems to investigate nuclear properties from the stable isotopes to the very exotic systems close to the neutron or proton drip lines. These studies can largely benefit from the use of a high-resolution fragment separator. [...]

High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) is developing Nb-Ti based beam separation dipole (MBXF) for the high-luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) upgrade within the framework of CERN–KEK collaboration. This magnet produces field integral of 35 T•m in a 150 mm bore at 12 kA and 1.9 K. [...]

The HL-LHC High Order Correctors Series Production and Powering Tests Status
/ Statera, M (Milan U.) ; Broggi, F (Milan U.) ; Matteis, E De (Milan U.) ; Imeri, L (Milan U.) ; Leone, A (Milan U.) ; Mariotto, S (Milan U. ; INFN, Milan) ; Paccalini, A (Milan U.) ; Pasini, A (Milan U.) ; Pedrini, D (Milan U.) ; Prioli, M (Milan U.) et al.
INFN is developing at the LASA lab (Milano, Italy) the High Order (HO) corrector magnets for the High Luminosity-LHC (HL-LHC) project, which will equip the new interaction regions. All the HO correctors, from skew quadrupole to dodecapole, are based on a novel superferric design, never used so far in high energy colliders, which allows a relatively simple, modular, and easy way to construct a magnet. Magnetic Measurements Results and Analysis of the First Batches of Superferric Magnets for the HL-LHC High Order Field Correction
/ Matteis, E De (LASA, Segrate ; Milan U.) ; Mariotto, S (LASA, Segrate ; Milan U. ; INFN, Milan) ; Broggi, F (LASA, Segrate ; Milan U.) ; Paccalini, A (LASA, Segrate ; Milan U.) ; Palmisano, A (LASA, Segrate ; Milan U.) ; Pasini, A (LASA, Segrate ; Milan U.) ; Pedrini, D (LASA, Segrate ; Milan U.) ; Prioli, M (LASA, Segrate ; Milan U.) ; Rossi, L (LASA, Segrate ; Milan U.) ; Sorbi, M (LASA, Segrate ; Milan U. ; INFN, Milan) et al.
In agreement with CERN the LASA laboratory of INFN (National Institute for Nuclear Physics) of Milan has carried out the industrial development of a novel type of magnet, for the High Order (HO) correctors of the High Luminosity - LHC (HL-LHC) project. These corrector magnets are based on a superferric design and will be installed in the new HL-LHC insertion regions for the ATLAS and CMS Experiments at CERN. [...]

Flux Concentrator Optimization for Future Positron Sources
/ Bajas, H (CERN) ; Doebert, S (CERN) ; Latina, A (CERN) ; Zhao, Y (CERN)
Future lepton colliders, such as CLIC, FCC-ee or ILC require high quality positron sources. Positrons are created after the collision of electrons on a tungsten target and then focused to match the aperture of the capture structures with a flux concentrator (FC) often called an Adiabatic Matching Device (AMD), a strong pulsed magnet.
