Testing lepton flavour universality in $B\rightarrow K\pi\pi\ell\ell$ decays using 2017 LHCb data / Rauber, Geraldine (Austrian Academy of Sciences (AT))
This present work proposes a study on $B\rightarrow K\pi\pi\ell\ell$ decays using 2017 LHCb data in the context of Lepton Flavour Universality tests. In view of the determination of the ratio of branching fractions $R_{K\pi\pi}$, that complements the actual investigations around the Standard Model shortcomings, several intermediate computations have been carried out. [...]

Influence of vacuum chamber port terminations on beam coupling impedances / Flisgen, Thomas (Berlin FBI) ; Gorgi Zadeh, Shahnam (CERN) ; Gjonaj, Erion (Darmstadt, Tech. U.)
Vacuum chambers of particle accelerators are typically equipped with radio-frequency couplers. The couplers are employed to excite modes for particle acceleration, to extract the energy of higher-order modes, or for diagnostic purposes. [...]

Final Design of ITER In-Vessel Coils and Manufacturing of In-Vessel Coil Conductor / Encheva, Anna (ITER) ; Bontemps, Vincent (ITER) ; Fichera, Claudio (ITER) ; Laquiere, Julien (ITER) ; Macioce, Davide (ITER) ; Mariani, Nicola (ITER) ; Piccin, Roland (ITER) ; Tronza, Vladimir (ITER) ; Vostner, Alexander (ITER) ; Sgobba, Stefano (CERN)
Following a decision made at the ITER Council in November 2013, two types of in-vessel coils (IVCs), namely, edge-localized mode (ELM) coils to mitigate ELMs and vertical stability (VS) coils to provide vertical stabilization of the plasma, have been incorporated in the ITER baseline design. The in-vessel environment is severe, characterized by large transient electromagnetic fields, high radiation flux, and high temperature. [...]

Following the conceptual design, the engineering design of the dc magnet and cable-in-conduit conductor (CICC) for the Super-X test facility has been done in 2021. Totally three types of conductors with different structures were designed for the three pairs of coils in the dc magnet, respectively. [...]

Efficient Combination of Surface Texturing and Functional Coating for Very Low Secondary Electron Yield Surfaces and Rough Nonevaporable Getter Films / Himmerlich, Marcel (CERN) ; Zanin, Danilo A (CERN) ; Taborelli, Mauro (CERN) ; Granadeiro Costa, Angelo Rafael (CERN) ; Costa Pinto, Pedro (CERN) ; Lain Amador, Lucia (CERN) ; Vollenberg, Wilhelmus (CERN) ; Baris, Adrienn (CERN) ; Garcia‐Tabares Valdivieso, Elisa (CERN ; Carlos III U., Madrid) ; Perez Fontenla, Ana Teresa (CERN) et al.
The formation of a fissured copper surface by picosecond pulsed laser irradiation is combined with functional coatings consisting of Ti and amorphous carbon layers or a Ti–Zr–V compound film to fabricate surfaces with the maximum of the secondary electron yield being as low as 0.4. By structural and spectroscopic analysis of the formed surfaces it is demonstrated that both coatings enclose the nanostructures generated by redeposition of metal structures from the laser-induced plasma plume, keeping the initial topography intact.
