 Anomalous quartic $W^+W^-\gamma \gamma$ couplings in $e^-p$ collisions at the LHeC and the FCC-he / Ari, V. (Ankara U.) ; Gurkanli, E. (Sinop U.) ; Gutiérrez-Rodríguez, A. (Zacatecas U.) ; Hernández-Ruíz, M.A. (Zacatecas U.) ; Köksal, M. (Cumhuriyet U.) We conducted a study on measuring $W^+W^-$ production and on the sensitivity limits at $95\%$ Confidence Level on thirteen anomalous couplings obtained by dimension-8 operators which are related to the anomalous quartic $WW\gamma\gamma$ couplings. We consider the main $e^-p \to e^-\gamma^*\gamma^*p \to e^-W^+W^-p$ reaction with the sub-process $\gamma^*\gamma^* \to W^+W^-$ at the Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) and the Future Circular Collider-hadron electron (FCC-he).  The charming beauty of the strong interaction / Tolos, Laura (Frankfurt U. ; Frankfurt U., FIAS ; Barcelona, IEEC) Charmed and beauty hadrons in matter are discussed within a unitarized coupled-channel model consistent with heavy-quark spin symmetry. We analyse the formation of D-mesic states as well as the propagation of charmed and beauty hadrons in heavy-ion collisions from LHC to FAIR energies.. arXiv:1712.07651.- 2020 - 10 p. - Published in : 10.1007/978-3-030-34234-0_3 Preprint: PDF;

 Cleaning and surface properties / Taborelli, Mauro (CERN) Principles of the precision cleaning dedicated to ultra-high vacuum applications are reviewed together with the techniques for the evaluation of surface cleanliness. Methods to verify the effectiveness of cleaning procedures are addressed.  Crystal Fibers for the LHCb Calorimeter Upgrade / Martinazzoli, Loris (Universita & INFN, Milano-Bicocca (IT)) The Large Hadron Collider beauty (LHCb) experiment is one of the four main particle detectors located at the Large Hadron Collider. After the high-luminosity upgrade of the accelerator, the expected radiation dose faced by the LHCb electromagnetic calorimeter will reach peak values of 1 MGy in the centermost part, an amount not tolerable by the currently employed Shashlik technology, which demands a novel radiation hard design. Its complete proton shell, comparable with the closed electron shells in the chemically inert noble gases, is not a mere precursor to extended stability; since the protons carry the nuclear charge, their spatial arrangement also drives the nuclear electromagnetism [...] - Published in : 10.1038/s42005-020-0348-9 Accepted Author Manuscript: PDF;

 Dynamic coupling between particle-in-cell and atomistic simulations / Veske, Mihkel (Helsinki U.) ; Kyritsakis, Andreas (Helsinki U.) ; Sjobak, Kyrre Ness (CERN ; Oslo U.) ; Zadin, Vahur (Tartu U.) ; Aabloo, Alvo (Tartu U.) ; Djurabekova, Flyura (Helsinki U.) We propose a method to directly couple molecular dynamics, finite element method and particle-in-cell techniques to simulate metal surface response to high electric fields. We use this method to simulate the evolution of a field emitting tip under thermal runaway by fully including the 3D space-charge effects. Saturation regime of THz generation in nonlinear crystals by pumps with arbitrary spectral modulations / Curcio, A (CERN) ; Petrarca, M (Rome U.) A self-consistent analytic formalism of the description of saturation effects in optical rectification is provided. It is shown that a nonlinear absorption term arises from this process that is dominant over two-photon absorption, deriving instead from the nonlinear susceptibility of the third order. Studying the atomic gyroscope magnetic shield residual magnetization by comparing parametric resonance signals / Chalkov, V V (SED-SPb, St. Petersburg) ; Shevchenko, A N (SED-SPb, St. Petersburg) The paper presents an algorithm for measuring the residual magnetic field in the magnetic shield of a quantum rotation sensor, which is based on the analysis of cesium parametric resonance signal. The effect of the residual magnetic field in the magnetic shield of the passive shielding system of an atomic gyroscope on its performance is investigated. [...] 2020 - 4 p. - Published in : J.
